QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD (1735-1796)

The thin jade ring is carved in the style of an archaic jade ritual plaque with pierced decoration carved through the russet skin in shallow relief and etched detail depicting a chilong dragon writhing around a she -shaped plaque, covered on both sides with scrolling geometric designs. The jade is pale celadon colour with a deep russet skin.
